A Revisit to Teluk Panglima Garang

Posted on February 19, 2012February 19, 2012 by Sabri

(I know, I know. I am behind on my posts. Here’s a delayed post. This should be posted 2 weeks ago.)

Teluk Panglima Garang brought back many memories to me.

It’s my first visit I think after 3+ years. A lot of changes. Dulu kawasan kelapa sawit, sekarang telah diratakan untuk dibangunkan kawasan perumahan. I came also in a very different circumstances and mood this time. Now I am very much ready to conquer my past.

Tadi, seorang lagi rakan saya melangsungkan perkahwinan. Dan saya diberi tanggungjawab sebagai pengapit.

Pengantin lelaki adalah ex-housemate saya. His wife is very lucky to have a him as a husband. He is definitely A+ husband material. Born and bred in Teluk Panglima Garang (kampung), but graduated from Imperial College (London). Bukan sahaja mampu dengan senang derive complex calculus formula tetapi juga mampu belah kelapa dengan sebelah tangan sahaja. (Eh, ko reti belah kelapa, Zaki kan?).

It is not easy nowadays to find a man who soar high, but still has his feet firmly planted on the ground.

The best thing about him, he lead by example. Very patient. Dan tak payah protokol-protokol. This is a man I believe who can  keep his calm in any storm he might encounter, and yet still emerge victorious.

Arrgghh… Zaki! Terrornya ko ambil hati makcik-makcik mertua! I have to admit, I am in awe seeing him converse with his wife’s Mak Long, Mak Andak, etc. I wish I can be like him when my time comes. Mak Long tu macam Mak Long dia dari cara dia berborak! 🙂

And he met an equally awesome lady. Although I have just known Nadia very recently, it felt like I have known her for years. You two are very, very lucky to meet each other. She knows how to put people at ease around her. Humble and unassuming.

Zaki and Nadia is a couple I completely feel safe and comfortable sending my kids for them to take care for when my wife and I went out “Date Nights” or perhaps weekend vacations. Boleh ya Zaki? Nad? 😉

All the best. May both of you live happily ever after.
